Methods of Payment
While private pay is the primary source, all methods of payment will be discussed during the pre-admission evaluation, so that each resident is fully informed of costs before admission. Most long-term care insurance plans participate with this level of care and assist with payment when all criteria for admission are met.
The Veterans Administration offers financial assistance to veterans and surviving spouses who require the regular “aid and attendance” of another person. This program is the only program available to assist veterans and surviving spouses financially in a personal care home residence.
